Plan at scale: AI experiences and the platform

SESSION 01 · TUESDAY

Designing AI experiences

Tonight you design how your AI feature feels: what people see, what happens when Claude is wrong, and the instructions behind it.

You will be able to
  • Explain why the same input can give a different AI output, and what that changes in design
  • Apply five AI UX patterns and design fallbacks for wrong, unsure and missing answers
  • Write system prompt v1: role, context, rules with reasons, personality and examples
  • Run ten eval cases by hand against your system prompt and record each result
  • Decide how, and at which step, your users are told that AI is involved

OUTPUT · AI experience flow + system prompt v1 + hand-run evals in 09-ai-experience.md

SESSION 02 · THURSDAY

From product to platform

More people, more roles, more systems talking to yours. Tonight you design who may do what, how data flows, and where Claude fits.

You will be able to
  • Identify what changes in your product as users, roles, teams, integrations and data grow
  • Design roles and a permissions matrix that the server checks on every request
  • Plan integrations with webhooks, retries and idempotency, explained in plain words
  • Plan data at scale and decide the minimum your product sends to Claude
  • Record where the AI call lives, and why, in ADR 0002

OUTPUT · Platform design, permissions matrix and data map in 09-platform.md + ADR 0002
